I had a talk with me….
To put things in perspective let me clear out my notion of “I” and “me” pertaining to the context of this particular text. The “I” as one can clearly see is in capitals, whereas it is less often that the “me” gets this chance. So, what is this “I”.? It could be whatever you wish it to be whereas “me” is whatever you have to be. Simply needs and wants cannot claim to be the crowning parameters, a furthermore perplexing thought could lead the topics of mind and heart into the picture.
So, “I” talked to “me” and guess what ?….they dont like each other at all !!
The “I” does not wish to give equal importance to “me” and stresses that “me” would make us weak!!. The argument that “me” made was, due to the policies of indepence in every aspect, “I” has led us into alienation with respect to society.”I” has succeeded to be independent and self reliant , which led us to arrogance and indifference, thus the resources from outside were unavailable to us.
“I” has always been a stength to be reckoned with, never before “I”’s actions have been futile, it was however due to the actions of “me” that we were placed in jeopardy more than once.”I” continued by stating that the school of thought that “me” belives in is invalid but if it wasn’t for the inequalities of mind and thought of outsiders, this paradigm would be perfect.
The question is , what do we decide for our future ?? “I” suggested a strategically planned phasing out of “me” for an unquestionably successful future. “Me” maintains the society and resources stand. “me” suggests the leverage of “me” and pleads the incongruous us to take actions against “I”.
The decision that we have come out with is that “I” will have supreme control of the senses but “me” will be given access to all data that “I” possess. Furthermore, “me” will sometimes conduct social drills for us so that we do not get alienated.
For those who find addressing oneself as “we” weird , “I” and “me” hope that the mystery is solved !
